The Dark Horse Junior Chess Club organizes a wide variety of tournaments and other fun activities to help children raise their game and develop thinking skills through chess. It is suitable for boys and girls 5-16 years of age at all levels of chess ability. The club organizers are Reubban Muthusamy, a former Victorian age-division champion, and Devrim van Dijk, former placegetter at the Australian Championships.
Fees: $5 per session, payable at the door. No commitment to attend future weeks.
Venue: Glen Waverley Primary School Hall, corner of Springvale Road and High Street Road (next to the McDonalds).
Time: 6:45pm-8:45pm Saturday.
